I love so much of this! Especially what you’ve said about small business and wishing the online platform would allow sales online of whatever you’d made at that particular time that you’d felt called to make. I’ve had a very similar experience and I’m feeling burned out. I’m taking time off and limiting IG time and finding this space here to be so welcoming and inviting. I live in Northern MI so I hoped you enjoyed your stay at the cabin! Wintertime here is pretty cozy.

It’s so exhausting with the constant promotion and marketing and then getting sucked into compulsively wanting to check the apps! It’s annoying how much willpower it takes to stay off it. I’m excited to connect with a fellow Michigander here :) I love being up north so much!!!

Yes it’s such a struggle to stop checking apps constantly! I’m glad to connect with you here as well! 🧡

I wander down to the barn in the mornings and feed my cows and sheep, crunching thru the snow, watching the few deer quietly move off the feed ground before I arrive...

I've purged my insta of everything that isn't beautiful and give myself an hour in the evening to wander thru other people's dreams... yeah, he pisses me off but by clicking on the beautiful will hopefully keep it from going completely dark and unhinged like the 'bird'!

I've dusted off my sewing machine and have a couple patterns developed and sewn up, now to scale up and market... and I haven't found a better way than insta to market my wares, sigh

I haven't been to town since December 7th and still have no reason to go... I'll need to in March when the chicks arrive tho. Maybe not... if I can get my daughter to bring them out!

I've needed this reset, to find my peace, so I can go forward with purpose and intention, like you said, in this dark time.

And thank you for your thoughtful newsletter! I enjoy seeing your name pop up in my email...

onward...

Have you tried knitting socks using a long circular needle (“magic loop”) you’ll never lose a needle on an airplane again!

I have tried it but felt it was annoying to constantly slide my stitches down. I still have the needles though so maybe I’ll revisit it!!
